HUSNABAD, JULY 26, 2025: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has launched a unique campaign to encourage admissions into the government and Zilla Parishad schools by distributing bicycles to the tenth class students, christened as ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi gift’ under the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
The programme was formally launched in Karimnagar town on July 9 on the eve of the birthday celebrations of the Union Minister (July 11). The Union Minister had set a target of distributing 20,000 bicycles during this academic year to the students across his Karimnagar parliament constituency.
Accordingly, the Minister had launched the distribution of 100 bicycles to the students of Husnabad assembly segment in Husnabad town on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sanjay said that he would work in coordination with Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar and strive for the all-around development of Husnabad assembly segment.
Buoyed over the successful implementation of distribution of bicycles to the government school students, the Union Minister promised to distribute ‘Modi kits’ comprising of school bag, steel water bottle, books, pens and pencils to the students from nursery to sixth class very soon.
He promised to set up RO water plants in all the government schools and added that he would strive for a Sainik school in Husnabad assembly segment. He also said that he would take all measures for the start of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Husnabad from the next academic year. He informed the students to study in government schools and promised to distribute bicycles to the students. He said that he would continue the distribution of bicycles to tenth-grade students every year. Appreciates Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar for launching the ‘Steel Bank’ initiative to check the eradication of plastic and pollution in Husnabad.
The Union Minister remembers the supreme sacrifices of the Armed Forces on the occasion of Kargil Diwas. Siddipet district Collector K Hymavathi, Additional Collector Garima Agarwal and others were also present.
