NALGONDA, MARCH 02, 2026: Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University Prof. Khaja Althaf Hussain emphasised the importance of enhancing quality standards in the B Ed program during a meeting with the Principals of affiliated colleges of education under MGU jurisdiction on Monday.
He underscored the necessity for strict measures to ensure at least 75% attendance among students. Prof. Hussain recommended that each B Ed college should appoint a minimum of 10 teachers, including the principal, to strengthen faculty support. Additionally, he advised that teachers should be registered with Aadhaar linkage and that the use of face recognition technology should be implemented to monitor attendance closely.
He also highlighted that students failing to meet the attendance requirement could risk losing their scholarships. Further outlining the need for educational reform, the Vice Chancellor stated that there should be no gaps in teaching methodologies, practical management, record-keeping, and practical examinations. MGU Registrar Prof. Koppula Anji Reddy, Audit Cell Director Y. Prashanthi, and Director (Infrastructure) Prof. Akula Ravi participated in the programmeorganized by the Audit Cell.
