
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 17, 2025: As a prelude to the ensuing decennial celebrations of International Yoga Day, which will be conducted on June 21, the Department of AYUSH organized a special awareness programme on the importance of Yoga for a healthy and balanced lifestyle among the students of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College (TSWRDC) for Women, Nagunuru, Karimnagar town, on Tuesday.
Dr. Rajitha, Nodal Officer, along with Praveen, Programme Officer, and a team of expert yoga instructors, led the session by demonstrating various Yoga asanas and Pranayama techniques. The instructors explained the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of incorporating yoga into daily life.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of T. Malathi, Principal of the college; Padmaja, Vice Principal; and Dr Chaitanya, medical officer, who encouraged students to embrace yoga for their overall well-being.
The programme concluded with a live demonstration of fundamental yoga postures and a Q&A session, allowing students to clarify their doubts. The initiative was warmly received by both students and staff, marking a successful step toward spreading awareness about holistic health practices.
