
HYDERABAD, JULY 28, 2025: The inaugural ceremony of the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs)” was held with great enthusiasm at Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women, Hyderabad, on Monday by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. This prestigious six-day FDP is part of the AICTE’s national initiative to upskill faculty members in emerging areas of technology.
The event was formally inaugurated by the Principal of the College, Dr G. Shyama Chandra Prasad, who delivered an inspiring keynote address. In his speech, he highlighted the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on education, industry, and society at large, and encouraged participants to adopt AI-driven methodologies in teaching and research.
The ceremony was graced by the chief guest, Sana Afreen, who shared practical insights into how Generative AI is being deployed in industry. Secretary of the college Dr V. Sudha, Chief Operating Officer Dr Ch Sujatha Gangadhar, HR & Academic Director Dr Gracy Sailasree, Principal Dr G Shyama Chandra Prasad, Vice Principal Mr. G. Dayakar Reddy, HOD Mr. M. Vinod, and coordinators Dr P. Sumalatha and Dr P. Deepthi participated in the programme.
