
KARIMNAGAR, JULY 19, 2025: Chairman of Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (Autonomous), Juvvadi Sagar Rao, announced the successful completion of a six-day sponsored Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Autonomous and Connected Electric Vehicle Technology” from July 14, 2025, to July 19, 2025. The programme was organised in collaboration with AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy.
The Secretary and Correspondent, J. Sumith Sai, stated that the prestigious programme was conducted with a total grant of ₹3,50,000 sanctioned by AICTE-ATAL. The Principal, T. Anil Kumar, stated that the FDP was officially inaugurated on July 14, 2025, with a keynote address by Professor & Head, Electrical Engineering Department, NIT Warangal, Dr. N.V. Srikant.
The Dean of Academics, P.K. Vaishali, mentioned that the FDP aimed to empower faculty members and researchers with the latest advancements in Electric Vehicle (EV) technology, including autonomy, vehicle-to-vehicle communication, battery systems, sensor networks, and converter technologies. This would contribute to India’s sustainable transportation and smart mobility vision.
Over the six-day programme, renowned academicians and industry professionals shared their insights, including Venu Gopal Parasuram, CEO, Aryaman Geo Info Solutions Private Limited, Pradeep Kumar Yemula, Associate Professor, IIT Hyderabad, and others.
In addition to the expert talks, the programme included sessions on article reviews and group discussions, where participants critically reviewed research papers and engaged in collaborative learning.
As part of the FDP, students and faculty visited the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) in Hyderabad on July 18, 2025, to gain real-world insights into industrial trends and EV implementation in MSMEs.
The valedictory function on Saturday (July 19, 2025), was attended by P. Satish Kumar, Professor & Head, Electrical Engineering Department, University College of Engineering, Osmania University, as the chief guest. He emphasised the growing need for academia-industry synergy and encouraged faculty members to contribute to the electric vehicle revolution through research and innovation.
