KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 21, 2026: A total of 36,426 students, including 18,175 first-year and 18,251 second-year students, would appear in the annual Intermediate board examinations, which would be held from February 25 to March 16 in a total of 57 examinations, including 37 local and 20 non-local in Karimnagar district.
Accordingly, Additional Collector Laxmi Kiran conducted a review meeting with the officials on Saturday. She instructed the revenue officials to impose section 144 in front of all the examination centres and the police officials to informed to shift the question papers amid tight security with police bandobust to the respective examination centres. She also instructed the Traffic police to regulate the traffic in Karimnagar town, following the location of examination centres in 37 locations to avoid traffic snarls and ensure smooth passage of students to the centres.

She also directed the NPDCL officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the examinations and the DMHO was informed to set up medical camps and the revenue authorities to provide drinking water arrangements in the centres. She also informed the authorities to ensure that question papers were opened in front of the CCTV cameras. The postal department was also instructed to provide counters to receive the answer sheets at the head post office in Karimnagar town.
