RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, OCTOBER 28, 2025: A special awareness session on the ‘AI Literacy Mission’ was organised for the students of *Government Degree College, Ghambhiraopet in Rajanna-Sircilla district to promote understanding and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education and career development.
The session aimed to familiarise students with the fundamentals of AI, its applications across various sectors, and the importance of AI literacy in today’s rapidly evolving digital world. Resource persons highlighted how AI skills are becoming essential for future employment opportunities and innovation-driven growth.
The event was conducted under the `AI Literacy Mission’ initiative, supported by ‘AISECT’, which strives to empower students and educators through digital knowledge and AI-based learning modules. Interactive discussions and demonstrations helped students grasp practical aspects of AI and its real-world relevance.
Principal Dr V Vijaya Lakshmi appreciated the initiative, emphasising that such programmes help bridge the knowledge gap and prepare rural youth for the demands of Industry 4.0. Students actively participated and expressed enthusiasm to learn more about AI tools and technologies.
The session concluded with a call to continue fostering digital awareness and to integrate AI education into regular academic learning.
