
HYDERABAD, AUGUST 06, 2025: The 39th All India GSI Indoor Games was kick-started in the NGRI ground on Wednesday with the inauguration by the Chief Guest, Dr. Prakash Kumar, Director, CSIR-NGRI, in the gracious presence of Shri Debkumar Bhattacharyya, Addl. Director General and HOD, GSI, Southern Region, along with Dr.L.P.Singh, Dy.DG, SU:Telangana, Shri S.N.Mahapatro, Dy.DG, SU: Andhra Pradesh, Dr.S.Ravi, Dy.DG & Head, Mission-V, GSITI, Shri K.V.Maruthi, Dy.DG & RMH-IV with additional charge of RMH-I, Shri Ajay Nirwan, Dy.DG & RMH-III, Shri S.N. Syiem, Dy.DG, Geophysics Division, SR, Shri Nagraj, AGM, UCO Bank and participants from nine teams of GSI representing CHQ, ER, WR, CR, NR, NER, RSAS, MCSD and SR. Southern Region, GSI, Hyderabad, is privileged to host the All India GSI Indoor Games for the second consecutive year. Around 157 participants with 28 women will participate in the two-day event (6th-7th August, 2025) in a variety of indoor games, including badminton, table tennis, carrom, chess and bridge with individual and team events for both men and women. The prime objective of organising such a tournament is to promote and propagate sportsmanship and instil cohesive team spirit among the officials of the Geological Survey of India.
