TIRUMALA, MAY 24, 2024: Following the steady influx of pilgrims to the Lord Venkateshwara Swamy temple on Tirumala hills following the summer vacation, the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) has cancelled the VIP break darshans on all Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays till June 30.
With the devotees taking more than 30 to 40 hours for darshan waiting in kilometers length queue lines, the TTD has taken a decision to cancel VIP break darshan to facilitate early darshan for common devotees. The TTD will not accept any VIP recommendation letters during this period. The TTD appealed to the devotees to take note of this and cooperate with the temple authorities.
Vaisaka Pournami Garuda seva held
The monthly Pournami Garuda Seva was observed with religious fervour on Thursday night. On the auspicious Vaisakha Pournami, under the sheath of bright and pleasant full moonlight, Sri Malayappa in all His splendour atop Garuda Vahanam paraded along four mada streets to bless His devotees who were converged in large numbers in all galleries. Temple DyEO Lokanatham and others were present.
