
The TTD Chairman reviewed the BIRRD Trust activities along with TTD EO J. Syamala Rao on Wednesday at the Conference Hall of Sri Padmavati Rest House in Tirupati.
Speaking on the occasion, the TTD Chairman urged the Hospital authorities of BIRRD to revive its former glory. He stated that farmers and the poor in rural areas should be given top priority for medical services at BIRRD. The Chairman emphasised that necessary infrastructure, doctors, staff, medicines, and equipment should be made available to reduce the waiting time for surgeries.
Adding further, he said necessary advanced foreign equipment shall be used for knee replacement, and other surgical procedures should be selected and procured at Indian prices.
TTD EO Sri J. Syamala Rao said that there is an Apanna Hridaya scheme where donors can donate for heart operations of young children in Sri Padmavati Children’s Heart Care. He directed the TTD JEO, FA & CAO and BIRRD Director to jointly prepare a report on the issue of collecting donations from donors for surgeries for poor sections and the hospital should be made accessible to all in this famous Ortho Hospital.
On this occasion, BIRRD Director Dr. G. Jagadish said that surgeries for disabled children are being performed immediately and joint replacements take a year.
He explained the programs undertaken by BIRRD Hospital from its inception till today through a PowerPoint presentation.
