TIRUMALA, JANUARY 17, 2026: Overwhelming response from devotees is being received for TTD’s ”Srivari Aseervadam” extending the divine blessings of Sri Venkateswara to the newly married couples by sending Akshintalu (sacred rice), kumkum packet(vermilion), kankanam (sacred thread), an auspicious blessing letter along with the photographs of Sri Venkateswara Swamy and Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru, and the book titled “Kalyana Samskruthi”.
Every year, more than one lakh couples who send their wedding invitations to TTD receive these sacred blessings, and their marriages are solemnised with the grace of Srivaru.
The newlyweds begin their married life with great hopes and aspirations. Receiving the blessings of Srivaru, the presiding deity of Kaliyuga Vaikuntha, on such a sacred occasion is indeed a rare and divine opportunity. TTD is providing this facility to its devotees.
All that is required is to send the wedding invitation along with the complete postal address.
In the present social system, Grihastha Dharma (householder’s life) holds great importance.
As part of the wedding rituals, Kankanadharana is performed as the first ceremonial step. The sacred thread, believed to protect the couple from evil influences, is tied to the right hand of the groom and the left hand of the bride.
For this purpose, TTD sends kumkum and kankanam with the blessings of Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru, wishing the couple all auspiciousness.
Another important ritual in a wedding is the exchange of Talambralu. With prayers for prosperity, harmony, righteous living, mutual affection, and a fruitful marital life, TTD sends Talambralu (Akshintalu), blessed by Srivaru, to the newlyweds.
To educate the couples about the sanctity and significance of the institution of marriage, TTD also sends the book “Kalyana Samskruthi”, along with a Vedic blessing letter bearing the photographs of Sri Venkateswara Swamy and Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru, issued in the name of the Executive Officer, TTD.
The staff of the Shuddha Prathi Division (Postal Section) located at the TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati work tirelessly throughout the year to ensure that the divine blessings of Srivaru reach more than one lakh newly married couples annually.
