Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy, along with Sridevi and Bhudevi, ascended the beautifully decorated chariot and blessed the devotees with His divine darshan. Devotees offered camphor aartis at every step as the majestic ratham moved along the temple streets.
The large gathering of devotees was enthralled by traditional kolatas, wood bhajans, and devotional sankeertans performed during the procession. According to temple tradition, having darshan of the Lord on the chariot relieves devotees from the sorrows of birth and blesses them with salvation.
In the evening at 7 p.m., the Lord will bless devotees on the Aswa Vahanam.
Local LAC President, A.V. Reddy, Temple AEO Ramesh, temple priests, other officials, and a large number of devotees participated in the sacred event.
