Deputy CM and Ministers visit the shrine and conduct a review meeting on arrangements
CM Revanth Reddy to visit on January 18
MULUGU, JANUARY 11, 2026: With the onset of Sankranthi holidays, the devotees had thronged in large numbers to the Samakka-Samakka shrine in Medaram of SS Tadwai mandal in Mulugu district on Sunday.
Though the biennial Samakka-Sarakka jatara would be held from January 28 to 31, the devotees had been arriving even before to offer prayers to the presiding tribal deities. Today, being a Sunday, the number of pilgrims rushing had swelled in the forest-dominated Medaram.
The devotees were seen competing to offer prayers by forming serpentine queues at the ‘gaddelu’ (altar). The devotees were offering ‘Bangaram’ (Jaggery) as is a ritual at the Medaram jatara.
On the other hand, Deputy CM Mallu Batti Vikramarka, Minister for IT Duddilla Sridhar, Revenue and Housing Minister Pongulet Srinivas Reddy, Endowments Minister Konda Sureka, Panchayat Raj Minister D Anasuka Seethakka, Social Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar and others arrived in a helicopter and offered prayers at the Altars.

Later, the Deputy CM and Ministers conducted a review meeting on the conduct of Maha Medaram Jatara with the district officials. They instructed the officials to take all measures for the smooth conduct of Jatara without any inconvenience to the pilgrims visiting from far-flung places of Telangana and neighbouring states.
CM to visit Medaram on January 18
On the other hand, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy would visit the Medaram shrine on January 18 and offer prayers at the Altars. Minister for D Anasuya Seetha, Collector TS Diwakar, SP Sudhir Ramnath Kekan, ITDA Project Officer Chitra Mishra and others were overseeing arrangements.
