

KARIMNAGAR, DECEMBER 23, 2024: Womenfolk of the interior Koppuru village in Bheemadevarapalli mandal in erstwhile Karimnagar district have entered the Spiritual Book of World Record for conducting mass Hanuman Chalisa by involving 960 women devotees and participating in kolatam on Sunday.
On the occasion of the 12th anniversary of Panchamuka Sri Anjaneya Swamy devasthanam in the village, the mass Hanuman chalisa programme was organised by the temple authorities under the guidance of temple chairman Kasam Ramesh and Lion KV Ramana Rao. The Mumbai-based Spiritual Book of World Record had earlier conducted the mass feat of rendering mass Hanuman chalisa with 425 women.
The womenfolk belonging Koppuru village have broken the record by rendering Hanuman chalisa by 960 womenfolk including children to aged persons. The organisers attributed the success to the dedication of the womenfolk, who prayed for the wellbeing of their family members. They claimed that they could enter the World record book only with the blessings of Lord Hanuman.
Former Minister Enugala Peddi Reddy, former ZPTC member Vanga Ravinder, dance master Swetha, Chandrashekhar Gupta, Anchuri Sadanandam, Gutam Jogireddy, Gadda Sammaiah, Pedda Sampath and others were also present.
