Speaking to the media on the occasion, the TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu said that participating in the Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam is a blessing earned through the merits of previous births.
The TTD Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary stated that it is customary to conduct Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam on the Tuesday preceding major festivals, viz. Ugadi, Anivara Asthanam, annual Brahmotsavams, and Vaikunta Ekadasi. He informed that the Moolavirat was covered with a cloth and the temple purification rituals were performed.

As part of the ritual, a sacred aromatic mixture prepared using Namakoppu, Srichurnam, musk turmeric, camphor, Kichiligadda (an aromatic tuber), sandalwood powder, kumkum, and other fragrant substances was diluted in water and sprinkled throughout the temple premises.
After the purification process, the cloth covering the Moolavirat was removed, and special pujas and Naivedyam were offered as per Agama procedures by the priests. Subsequently, devotees were allowed for darshan.
Several Board Members, JEO (Health & Education) Dr. Sharath, CVSO Sri Muralikrishna, Temple Deputy EO Sri Lokanatham, and other officials participated in the programme.
