TIRUMALA, NOVEMBER 15, 2024: The Kartika Pournami Garuda Seva was held with religious fervour and gaiety at the Tirumala temple shrine on Friday night.
The procession began from the Vahana Mandapam, where the Lord Malayappa mounts his devotee Garuda along with his consorts. The mada streets were filled with devotees to have a glimpse of the Lord Malayappa.
The Vanahana seva, an act of carrying the deity on Vahana (vehicle), is considered a visual delight for all the devotees present. The atmosphere is filled with the chanting of Govinda Namasmaranas, which are the holy names of Lord Vishnu. The artists also performed various cultural programmes and traditional acts during the procession, adding to the festive ambience. TTD Chairman BR Naidu, Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Choudhary, Tirupati SP L Subbarayudu, Deputy EO Lokanatham and others were also present.
