TIRUMALA, MARCH 31, 2026: Splendour marked the procession of the Golden Chariot or ‘Swarna ratham’ taken on Tuesday, on the second day of the ongoing Vasanthotsavam of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala.
The processional deities of Lord Malayappa and his two consorts, Sridevi and Bhudevi, were mounted atop the chariot and pulled around the mada streets encircling the sacred shrine.
The event was attended by hundreds of devotees trying to catch a glimpse of the Lord seated on the golden chariot amid the chants of religious chants. The chariot glided swiftly along the four-mada streets as the devotees assembled in the galleries.
TTD EO Muddada Ravichandra, Additional EO Ch.Venkaiah Chowdary and others were present.
