
KARIMNAGAR, JULY 19, 2025: Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE), Karimnagar, came alive with colour, devotion, and festive spirit as it celebrated the vibrant Bonalu festival with great enthusiasm on its campus on Saturday. The event showcased a beautiful blend of tradition, talent, and cultural pride, leaving the audience enthralled.
The celebration began with a skit performed by the students, which highlighted the importance of Bonalu, its origins, and its significance in honouring Goddess Mahankali. The thoughtful and engaging performance not only entertained but also educated the young audience about Telangana’s rich cultural heritage.
Following the skit, a melodious song performed by the students filled the atmosphere with devotion and festive cheer. The highlight of the day was the graceful dance performance by the students of Classes 3, 4, and 5, who captivated the audience with their colourful costumes and synchronised movements, reflecting the spirit of the Bonalu celebrations.
Principal Renuka Balivada, in her address, appreciated the efforts of the students and staff in organising such a meaningful event. She encouraged the students to stay connected to their roots and understand the value of festivals in preserving culture.
Gandra Laxman Rao, Advisor to the Managing Committee, lauded the students for their enthusiastic participation and praised the performances as a wonderful reflection of teamwork and cultural awareness.
Chairman Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polasani and Director (Academics) Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari also extended their greetings and best wishes on the occasion, expressing pride in the students’ creativity and discipline.
