TIRUMALA, MARCH 14, 2026: Three Asthanams have been lined up in the month of March this year in Tirumala temple, following the upcoming important festivals, including Telugu Ugadi and Sri Ramanavami.
Asthanam – the traditional Temple Court is usually observed in the Garudalwar Sannidhi on the special occasions earmarked in the temple.
Ugadi Asthanam:
On the auspicious day of Sri Parabhava Nama Samvatsara Ugadi, a set of new clothes is being draped to both main and processional deities. The Vedic scholars present the year’s Panchangam in front of the deities and perform Asthanam between 7am and 9am.
Sri Rama Navami Asthanam:
On the occasion of Sri Rama Navami on March 27, the temple court is being observed between 9pm and 10pm at Garudalwar Sannidhi.
Earlier, the Hanumanta Vahana Seva will also be observed on the occasion in Tirumala between 6:30pm and 8pm.
As a part of Asthanam, the Vedic Pundits presents Sri Rama Jananam(Birth of Sri Rama) chapter from Srimad Ramayana and perform Asthanam.
Pattabhisheka Asthanam:
On the succeeding day of Sri Rama Navami, the Pattabhisheka Asthanam is being observed in Tirumala temple between 8pm and 9pm.
The Vedic scholars present the Coronation Ceremony episode of Sri Ramachandra Murty from the sacred epic Srimad Ramayana on the occasion.
