JAGTIAL, JANUARY 03, 2026: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has visited the ancient and historic Sri Anjaneya Swamy devasthanam in Kondagattu of Jagtial district on Saturday.
On this occasion, the temple authorities had accorded a traditional welcome amid chanting of Vedic hymns. Mr Pawan Kalyan offered special prayers to Lord Hanuman. Later, he participated in the ground-breaking ceremony for the developmental works worth Rs 35.19 crore sanctioned by the TTD board at the Kondagattu temple shrine.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Pawan Kalyan said that Lord Hanuman of Kondagattu had saved his life from an electric shock during electioneering in the Karimnagar district. Following requests for a special mandapam for Deekha Viramana and Satram, he said that he had referred the matter to the TTD to allocate the funds for the developmental works of the Kondagattu temple shrine. The Deputy Chief of AP Pawan Kalyan expressed his gratitude to the TTD Chairman and the board members for their kind gesture.
The TTD board has allocated Rs. 35.19 cr towards the development works at the Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Kondagattu, Jagtial district, Telangana State, upon the request of Deputy Chief Minister of AP Pawan Kalyan, said TTD Chairman BR Naidu.

Speaking on the occasion, the TTD Chairman, BR Naidu, said the request of the Deputy CM was brought to the attention of Chief Minister of AP N Chandrababu Naidu. Subsequently, the TTD board sanctioned Rs. 35.19 crores towards the temple development works, which include a guesthouse with 96 rooms, along with several other development works, undertaken with TTD funds for the convenience of the devotees.
Telangana State Minister for Social Welfare Adluri Lakshman Kumar, Choppadandi legislator Medipalli Satyam and others were also present.
