
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar to wear ‘Bhavani mala’ on September 22 at the Mahashakthi Temple
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 20, 2025: Sri Mahashakthi temple, Chaitanyapuri, in Karimnagar town, has been spruced up for the 11-day Sri Devi Navarathri festivities from September 22 to October 2, 2025.
The festivities begin on September 22 with Sri Bala Tripura Sundari (Shailaputri) puja, Ganapathi puja and other puja rituals from 8 am onwards and at 6 pm the priests would conduct Phalaamrutha abhishekham to Goddess Durga.
On September 23: Gayatri Devi puja would be conducted and the goddess would be decorated with turmeric roots at 8 and and Soundarya lahari and Kanakadhara strotham recitation at 9 am and Lingaarchana at 6 pm,
On September 24: Sri Annapurna Devi (Chandraghanta) puja and decoration of goddess with vegetable at 8 am and Rakala Naivedhyam at 6 pm.
On September 25: Sri Kathyayini Devi (Kashmanda) puja and decoration of Goddess with fruits at 8 am and Sri Mahadurga pushpabhishekham at 6 pm.
On September 26: Sri Mahalakshmi (Skandamatha) puja and decoration of goddess with currency notes at 8 am and mass kumkum archana and Lakshmi sahasranamarchana with lotus flowers at 6 pm.
On September 27: Sri Lalitha Devi (Katyayini) puja and decoration of goddess with bangles at 8 am and Lalitha Sahasranama parayanam at 6 pm.
On September 28: Sri Maha Chandi Devi (Kala rathri) puja and decoration of Goddess with Suryaprabha at 8 am and Vishn Sahasranama parayanam at 6 pm.
On September 29: Mula Nakshatra- Sri Saraswathi Devi (Maha Gauri) puja and decoration of goddess with flowers and students to participate in Saraswathi puja at 8 am. Bathukamma puja at 6pm
On September 30: Sri Durga Devi (Siddarathri) puja (Durgarasthami) and decoration of Goddess with ratnaalu and lights at 8 am. Pallaki seva at 6 pm and Ratan Kumar and his team to present classical dances.
On October 1: Sri Mahishasuramardhinim Devi puja (Maharanavami) and Rudrasahitha Chandi homam at 8 am and Mahishasumardhi puja at 7pm.
On October 2: Sri Raja Rajeshwari Devi puja (Vijaya Dasami) and Shami puja at 8 am and vehicles puja from 9 am onwards.
Garrepalli Maheshwara Sharma would conducting pravachanam daily at 7 pm ‘Ammavari Avathara Vaibhavam’. Similarly, there would be dandiya programme daily after 9 pm at the temple shrine.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who was instrumental in the construction of Mahashakthi temple, will wear ‘Bhavani mala’ at the temple shrine on September 22. He would participate in all religious programmes during Navarathri at the temple shrine. Sri Mahashakti temple has emerged as a famous religious place for the devotees to offer prayers to Sri Maha Durga, Sri Maha Lakshmi and Sri Maha Saraswathi and Lord Ganapathi and navagrahas at one place at the shrine.
