
HYDERABAD, JULY 17, 2025: Disillusioned with party ideology, the CPI Maoists State Committee Members, including the founding member of the party’s cultural wing Chaitanya Natya Mandali, and a contemporary of revolutionary balladeer Gaddar, surrendered before Rachakonda Police Commissioner on Thursday.
The senior Maoist leaders Mala Sanjeev alias Lengu Dada alias Ashok (62), a native of Yapral, Medchal-Malkajgiri district, joined the Naxalite movement way back in the year 1980. Presently, he is a state committee member and Dandakaranya Special Zone Committee, Chhattisgarh, member.
He joined the Naxalite movement, influenced by Gaddar alias Gummadi Vittal. He played a crucial in the propagation of naxalism through Jana Natya Mandali cultural programmes.
Similarly, his wife Perugula Parvathi alias Bontala Paravathi alias Deena (50), joined Maoists in 1992 and held various positions. She hails from Vankeshwaram village in Nagarkurnool, held the rank of State Committee member and was part of CNM’s Cultural Sub-Committee.
