RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, JUNE 10, 2024: District Judge N Premalatha on Monday sentenced a person to undergo three years rigorous imprisonment and pay a fine of Rs 2,000 on the charges of molestation of a minor girl in Sircilla textile town.
According to police sources, an accused Konda Rahul, a resident of Rajivnagar in Sircilla town, had tried to molest a 10-year-old minor girl in the year 2023 by dragging to an isolated place when she was walking alone. Alert girl raised an alarm and escaped from his clutches and informed the same to her parents. Following the complaint lodged by the mother of the victim, then Sircilla town inspector Anil Kumar registered a case and investigated.
The judge after examining 13 witnesses had sentenced the accused for three years jail term and fine of Rs 2,000. Special public prosecutor Penta Sriniavs argued the case. Court monitoring SI Ravinder Naidu, constables Mahender and D Narender produced the witnesses before the court.
