KARIMNAGAR, JULY 14, 2024: Timely intervention by the Lake Police on the shores of LMD reservoir has saved the lives of a mother and son, who tried to commit suicide by jumping into the reservoir on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Sunday.
According to Lake Out-post station SI Arsham Suresh, Chaudarapu Bharathamma (58) and her son Girish Kumar (34), a residents of Vidyanagar in Karimnagar town, came to the dam to commit suicide. As they were entering into the waters, the patrolling police noticed them and rushed to the spot and rescued them. They were reportedly decided to end their lives due to family disputes. The police shifted them to Women’s police station for counselling.
