HYDERABAD, JANUARY 31, 2024: In a shocking development, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Kothakota Srinivas Reddy has transferred the entire 86 staff members of Panjagutta Police Station from the rank of inspectors to the Home guards and attached them to the Armed Reserve (AR).
This is the first time that 86 police personnel have been transferred simultaneously from a police station. The entire police station personnel were replaced with other police personnel from various police stations.
It may be recalled that the Punjagutta Inspector B Durga Rao was suspended for falsely implicating the driver of former Bodhan legislator Mohammad Shakil instead of his son in a road accident instead of his son in a road accident case at Praja bhavan in Hydearbad.
The former Bhodhan legislator’s son had driven a BMW car in drunken condition and crashed it into a traffic barricade, which were blown into the air.
