RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MAY 20, 2024: Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have trapped a senior assistant for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 7,000 for doing official favour in Sircilla textile town on Monday.
Sources said that District Panchayat raj department senior assistant Joginipalli Bhaskar Rao demanded a bribe of Rs 7,000 for clearance of a bill pertaining to construction of compound wall to a burial ground from a contractor. The ACB officials caught the senior assistant red-handed and arrested and shifted to Karimnagar ACB court. Further details are awaited.
