Upon reaching the temple, the President of India was welcomed by the AP Ministers, Anam Rama Narayana Reddy, Vangalapudi Anitha, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, AP Endowments Secretary Hari Jawahar Lal, District Collector Venkateswar, District SP L Subbarayudu, JEO Veerabrahamam, and CV&SO Muralikrishna.
Later, the temple priests offered the traditional Swagatam to the first citizen of the Nation.
The President offered prayers to the temple Dhwajasthambham and later had darshan of the presiding deity of Sri Padmavati Ammavaru.
Later, in the Ashirwada Mandapam, she was offered Prasadam. On the occasion, she was honoured with a Sesha Vastram and the photo of the deity is presented.
Among others, Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Nani, Anantapur DIG Semushi Ghosh, TTD Board Member Sri Bhanuprakash Reddy, Temple Deputy EO Sri Harindranath and others participated in this programme.
