Pawan Kalyan offers special prayers at Kondagattu temple shrine in Jagtial district

Temple EO submits a memorandum urging allocation of TTD funds for the development of Kondagattu shrine

JAGTIAL, JUNE 29, 2024: Andhra Pradesh state Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party president Konedala Pawan Kalyan has offered special prayers to presiding deity Lord Hanuman at Sri Anjaneya Swamy devasthanam in Kondagattu of Jagtial district on Saturday.

As soon as he arrived at the temple shrine, Collector B Satya Prasad, SP Ashok Kumar, RDO Madhusudhan welcomed Mr Kalyan by presenting him with flower bouquets. The temple priests have accorded traditional ‘poornakumbham’ welcome amid chanting of vedic hymns to the actor-turned-politician, who made a maiden visit to the temple shrine after assuming charge as the Deputy CM of AP state.

Mr Pawan Kalyan, who is on Varahi deeksha, offered special prayers to the deity. Later, the priests and temple EO presented the prasadam and portrait of the shrine. On this occasion, temple EO Chandrashekhar submitted a petition urging the AP deputy CM to allocate TTD funds for the development of Kondagattu temple such as construction of 100-rooms accommodation facilities and deeksha mandapam.

Following the arrival of powerstar Pawan Kalyan, his fans arrived in large numbers to the temple shrine to have a glimpse of their hero. The police had a tough time in regulating the surging crowds and resorted to mild lathi-charge to disperse the mob.  Jagtial DSP Raghuchander, Malllial CI Neelam Ravi supervised the security arrangements. Temple AEO anjaiah, Superintendents Srinivas Sharma, Upadhyayula Chandrashekhar and Umamaheshwar, chief priest Jitendra Prasad and his deputy Chiranjeevi and local priest Kapinder and others were also present.
