HANAMKONDA, JANUARY 09, 2026: SWAYAM–MOOCS Cell of Kakatiya Government College (Autonomous), Hanumakonda, organised an Orientation Programme on MOOCs–SWAYAM and Spoken Tutorial of IIT Bombay on 9th January 2026 for the staff and students of the college.
The session aimed to familiarise participants with the features, benefits, and opportunities provided by various online learning platforms. The event commenced with the formal invitation of the guests onto the dais by N. R. Ch. Srikanth, Assistant Professor of English and Coordinator, SWAYAM–MOOCS Cell. K. Rajanilatha, Principal and Associate Professor of Physics, delivered the presidential address, encouraging the staff and students to actively participate in MOOCs courses to enhance their knowledge and skills in multiple domains. A. Srinath, Coordinator, IQAC, presented a brief overview of the MOOCs and SWAYAM portals, explaining their structure and academic benefits. D. Rajashekar, Vice Principal, spoke about the importance of certificate courses on online platforms and their role in helping students achieve their academic and professional goals. A. Anil Kumar, Coordinator, TSKC & Placement Officer, motivated students to enroll in online certification and internship programs offered by reputed institutions and companies to improve their employability prospects. Shrawana Kumari, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, outlined the functionality and advantages of MOOCs and SWAYAM platforms, emphasizing their accessibility and practical relevance.In the valedictory session, N. R. Ch. Srikanth, the Coordinator, briefed the students about the Program Schedule of the MOOCS Spoken Tutorial and advised them to register and complete the designated courses within one month using the college facilities. The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks.The orientation programme witnessed the active participation of K. Rajanilatha, D. Rajashekar, A. Srinath, A. Anil Kumar, Shrawana Kumari, Md. Yakub, Malathilatha, Raghu, Heads of various Departments, Mr. Sagar (TSKC Mentor), teaching staff, and students of the college.
