VIJAYAWADA, JUNE 12, 2024: TDP national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the Chief Minister of residual Andhra Pradesh state for the second time on Wednesday. Filmstar and Jana Sena Party president Konedela Pawan Kalyan assumed charge as the Minister for the first time.
It be mentioned here that this is the fourth time Mr Naidu will be serving as the Chief Minister in his more than four decades of political career. He served as the CM of integrated Andhra Pradesh state twice and the second time in the residual AP. Governor S Abdul Nazeer administer oath of office to Mr Naidu at Kesarapalle close to Gannavaram near Vijayawada.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Union Health Minister and BJP National president JP Nadda, Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay, former Chief Justice of India NV Ramana, filmstars Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Ramcharan and several VVIPs from the various quarters of the society attended the glittering swearing ceremony.
The Prime Minister had personally met Chiranjeevi and posed for photographs along with Pawan Kalyan. He also met Rajnikanth and his wife and other dignitaries on the dais.
Along with Mr Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, 23 others took oath as the Ministers including 20 from TDP, two from JSP and one from BJP. Mr Naidu had allocated majority of Ministries to new entrants to the politics and allocated three berths women. Among them, eight ministers belonged to BCs, two SCs, one ST and one Minority, one Vysya, four Kapus, four Kammas and three Reddys.
