KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 18, 2026: SRR Government Arts and Science College, Botany department head, Thirukovela Srinivas, delivered the keynote address at a one-day National Level Seminar organised by Yogeshwari Mahavidyalaya College, Ambajogai Taluka, Beed District, Maharashtra, on Saturday, 17 January 2026.
The national seminar was conducted on the theme “Emerging Trends in Life Sciences: Opportunities and Challenges for Rural Development.” Scholars, academicians, and researchers from various institutions across the country participated in the seminar.
During his keynote address, Mr Srinivas spoke in detail on “Integrated Life Science Approaches and Innovative Agricultural Practices for Rural Development: Opportunities and Challenges.” He highlighted the importance of adopting modern, eco-friendly, and pollution-free integrated agricultural practices in rural areas. He emphasised the role of life sciences in sustainable agriculture, the significance of bio-fertilisers, methods of bio-fertiliser production, disease-free plant propagation, and environmentally sustainable farming practices.

He also discussed strategies for strengthening rural agricultural systems through integrated approaches aimed at long-term environmental sustainability and rural development. His address focused on future-oriented agricultural models that balance productivity with ecological conservation.
At the conclusion of the seminar, Yogeshwari Education Society President and Executive Members, along with M. V. Kanetkar, Principal of Yogeshwari Mahavidyalaya College, and Sarika Sangeeker, Seminar Convener, felicitated Mr Thirukovela Srinivas in recognition of his valuable contribution and insightful keynote address.
