KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 20, 2024: Insurance Corporation Employees Union, Karimnagar division, women’s wing have condemned the heinous crime of rape and murder of a medical in a medical college in Kolkata by taking out a candle-lights rally at LIC divisional office in Karimnagar town on Tuesday evening.
Expressing concern over ever-increasing atrocities against the womenfolk in the country, they strongly condemned the dastardly act of gruesome rape and murder of a medical student in the RG Kar medical college in Kolkatta on August 9, 2024.
Even as the entire country is raising a voice of concern against the Kolkata medico’s rape and murder case, the RTC crew had allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl in Dehradun and condemned the heinous crime. The womenfolk demanded a stern and stringent punishment against the accused persons involved in the rape and murder in the country.
Insurance Corporation Employees Union Karimnagar women’s wing convenor G Vani, LIC Karimnagar divisional manager MMRK Srinivas, Union general secretary Vaman Rao, president Rammohan Rao, other office-bearers such as D Suryakala, M Srilatha, C Anupama, women’s sub-committee members, all categoriese of LIC employees, branch-I office-bearers and others participated in the programme.
