KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 03, 2024: Students of Alphores girls’ e-techno school, Vavilalapalli, Karimnagar town, visited the Kothapalli handlooms weavers’ cooperative on the outskirts of the Karimnagar town on Saturday.
As part of the study tour to learn about handlooms and silk, the students of the seventh class of the school visited the handloom centres and interacted with the weavers to learn the process of weaving fabrics including handlooms and silk cloth. They also inspected the functioning of power looms.
The students were captivated by the hard work and creativity of the weavers to produce fabric by using cotton and transforming it into a fine cloth by undergoing various changes at different stages. The students were touched when the weavers explained about their hard work and low income despite spending several days of work to weave the fabric.
