KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 16, 2024: Vemuganti Rama Rao, the former Joint Director (retired) of Navodaya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi, a native of Elbaka village of Veenavanka mandal, has passed away in Hyderabad on Sunday following illness.
He was Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) district coordinator for about 16 years and played crucial role for the formation of several youth organisations and cultural organisations. He also worked as Advisor to the Government of Uttaranchal. He is a bachelor and has no family or children. He played a crucial role in identifying hidden talent among the youth by forming cultural organisations and made them perform at state and national level programmes. His last rites would be performed in Karimnagar town on Monday.
He was also staunch supporter of Lok Satta Udyama samstha under the guidance of its founder N Srinivas. Several artists have expressed their deep felt condolences over the demise of Rama Rao.
