KARIMNAGAR, MAY 08, 2024: The Karimnagar One-Town police have seized Rs 2,09,600 unaccounted cash from a person during a vehicle check at Rajiv chowk in Karimnagar town on Wednesday.
According to Inspector J Sarilal, as part of the vigil for the strict enforcement of model code of conduct to check illegal supply of cash and liquor during the ensuing elections, the police checked a vehicle carrying unaccounted cash without any valid proof or documents from Peddi Radhakrishna (50).
The police informed the same to the election Returning officer and Income Tax officials about the seizure of the unaccounted cash and handed over the amount to the authorities concerned.
