HYDERABAD, NOVEMBER 02, 2026: Singareni Collieries Company Limited has once again demonstrated its excellence by securing Five-Star Ratings for five coal mines for the financial year 2024–25. The ratings recognise the company’s performance in adopting best mining practices, implementing environment-friendly measures, and providing facilities and welfare support for workers.
At an awards ceremony held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on Monday, Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Sri Satish Chandra Dubey presented the awards to Singareni Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti.
The mines honoured with the prestigious Five-Star Rating are RKNT and RK-6 Incline in Srirampur Area; JVR OC-2 in Sattupalli Area; Khairigura OC in Bellampalli Area; and RGOC-1 in Ramagundam-3 Area.
The Ministry of Coal assesses mines across the country every year and recognises those that demonstrate outstanding performance. The evaluation covers 84 parameters, including mine performance, safety measures, management, facilities, environmental practices and workers’ welfare. Inspection teams from the Ministry conduct on-site assessments, followed by a preliminary evaluation and further scrutiny by a committee to select the top-performing mines. Mines scoring above 91 out of 100 are awarded a Five-Star Rating.

The five Singareni mines earned the recognition for maintaining high standards in mine management, environmental initiatives, welfare programmes and production technology. CMD Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti expressed his happiness over the achievement and congratulated the mine management and workers. He urged them to continue their excellent work and strive to secure more awards.
