Bheemavaram pickles had won accolades for its tasty vegetarian and non-vegetarian pickles
KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 01, 2026: Pickles (achaar or urugai) are the ultimate antidote to boring, everyday canteen food, unpalatable meals, or uninspiring curries. When daily dishes begin to taste monotonous, a single spoonful of a well-crafted pickle instantly elevates simple staples like dal chawal, aloo paratha, or curd rice into a vibrant feast.
The pickles act as an essential culinary escape hatch for urban consumers and students living away from home. Rather than settling for uninspired dishes, food lovers look to the extensive world of regional Indian pickling to completely change a meal’s flavour profile.
All of us have our favourite pickles. What’s yours? Mango, lemon, mixed vegetable or something more exotic? And more importantly, how many times have you found yourself “in a pickle”, which means a sticky situation where you are getting cooked!
And here is the destination for a variety of pickles, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, including seafood, at the Bheemavaram Pickle Mart opposite the Head Post Office in Karimnagar town. The pickle retail franchise, specialised in traditional Andhra-style homemade condiments, has won accolades with its popular brand of ‘Bheemavaram pickles’, providing more than 100 varieties of pickles prepared using traditional, machinery-free, and preservative-free regional methods.
Originating from manufacturing roots tied closely to the Godavari/Eluru districts, Pickle Mart has scaled aggressively through a rapid franchise-expansion model in the fast-growing Karimnagar town as urban consumers are looking for authentic, grandmother-style recipes without the hassle of making them at home.

Different variety of pickles are stored in ceramic jars covered perfectly with cotton cloth in a sterile atmosphere with air-conditioner facility. The owners also collect the pickles from the jars using hand gloves to maintain cleanliness and hygiene while packing them for the customers.
The shop is filled to the brim with ceramic jars (jadis), now containing memories of adored grandmas and unforgettable recipes of mom and all the vegetables you never thought you’d eat. Lining shelves of the Pickle Mart with a variety of pickles.
Homemade pickles with traditionally sourced ingredients are seeing many takers in the city, said Pickle Mart owner Srinivas. The Bheemavaram pickles are known for quality and purity, he said and added that the Pickle Mart had won accolades for vegetarian and non-vegetarian pickles and various podis (powders).
“We don’t use any preservatives or flavouring agents in homemade pickles. Salt is used as a natural preservative. We have a loyal customer base who opt for our unique pickles,” Srinivas maintained.
“There is so much more variety than just mango, lemon and Gongura pickles. Over the last couple of months, I have been ordering unique pickles like Avakaya Biryani, Brinjal Tomato pickle, Prawns and Crabs pickle and more, said Sunil, a bank employee.
