HYDERABAD, OCTOBER 30, 2026: The State Government has announced another good news for Singareni workers, who recently received the profit-sharing bonus (Dasara bonus): the Diwali bonus will be paid on November 5.
In a statement issued on Friday, State Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Energy Sri Bhatti Vikramarka conveyed Diwali greetings to Singareni employees and directed the Singareni management to pay the Performance Linked Reward (Diwali bonus) on November 5. He stated that around ₹419 crore would be paid as Diwali bonus, with eligible workers receiving up to ₹1,10,250 each.
He said the People’s Government was making planned efforts to support the development and expansion of Singareni, which provides power to the Nation. Nearly ₹600 crore was paid this month as profit-sharing bonus, and a further ₹419 crore is now being paid as Diwali bonus. He also called for efforts to reduce the cost of coal production to meet competition in the coal sector.
Acting on the directions of the State Deputy Chief Minister, Singareni CMD Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti spoke with the concerned Personnel and Finance officials and instructed them to make the necessary arrangements to credit the Diwali bonus to workers’ bank accounts on November 5.
Applicable to NCWA employees
This year, the average Diwali bonus will be approximately ₹1,10,250 per worker. The bonus is applicable only to National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA) employees and does not apply to officers.
Workers who completed 190 working days in underground mines, or 240 working days in open-cast and surface sections, during the previous financial year will receive the full bonus. For those who worked fewer days, the bonus will be calculated and paid proportionately to the period worked. A minimum of 30 days of work during the previous financial year has been set as the eligibility requirement. In all, around 38,000 employees are expected to benefit.
Within a period of one month, workers are expected to receive an average of nearly ₹2,65,000 through the Dasara and Diwali bonuses. The company has paid a total of around ₹1,020 crore towards these two bonuses.
Singareni Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti conveyed his Diwali greetings to the employees. He advised workers to use the bonus for their family needs and, where possible, save a portion of it. He also urged everyone to work with enthusiasm in the spirit of the festivals and achieve the targets set for each mine and department.
