Camps to be organised across 12,760 Gram Panchayats and 136 Urban Local Bodies in all 33 districts
HYDERABAD, OCTOBER 27, 2026: The Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, Government of India, is conducting a Campaign for Saturation of Financial Inclusion (FI) Schemes from October 21 to December 31, 2026, to ensure that eligible citizens have access to banking services, social security schemes and financial inclusion initiatives.
As part of the campaign, bank branches will organise camps across Gram Panchayats (GPs) and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in Telangana to facilitate enrolment of eligible beneficiaries and improve access to financial services.
The campaign focuses on enrolment under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY). Other activities include Aadhaar seeding under PMJJBY and PMSBY, opening of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) accounts, and opening of PMJDY accounts for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) households.
The initiative also aims to reactivate inoperative PMJDY accounts, undertake re-KYC for existing PMJDY and other savings accounts, generate pending Central KYC (C-KYC) IDs, and update nominations in savings accounts and other facilities, including lockers.
Awareness sessions on financial inclusion schemes, digital banking and prevention of digital fraud are also being conducted. The campaign further promotes “Aapki Poonji, Aapka Adhikar” to raise awareness about unclaimed financial assets and facilitates sourcing of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) applications to cover eligible PM-Kisan beneficiaries.
Shri Satish Kumar, Convenor of the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), Telangana, and General Manager, State Bank of India, stated that bank branches across the state would organise camps in Gram Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies. The camps provide information on financial literacy, social security schemes, digital banking and measures to prevent financial fraud. Eligible beneficiaries are being registered, and the required documents are being collected by bank officials.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, eligible individuals aged 18 to 70 years are provided insurance coverage of up to ₹2 lakh in the event of accidental death or total disability, at an annual premium of ₹20. Under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, eligible individuals aged 18 to 50 years are provided life insurance coverage of ₹2 lakh in the event of death due to any cause, at an annual premium of ₹436. The Atal Pension Yojana provides for a monthly pension after the subscriber attains 60 years of age, subject to prescribed contributions and eligibility conditions.
The campaign is being implemented across all 33 districts of Telangana, covering 12,760 Gram Panchayats and 136 Urban Local Bodies. Citizens have been urged to visit the nearest bank camp and avail themselves of the schemes for which they are eligible. They have also been advised to remain vigilant against financial fraud.
The State Government, Gram Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies have been requested to extend the necessary support for the effective implementation of the campaign and achievement of its objectives.
