KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 25, 2026: Even as the Telangana State government has been appealing to the people of the state to use water judiciously and avoid its wastage in the wake of El Niño impact, the authorities of the Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar seem reluctant to check leakages and wastage of water in Karimnagar.
While Karimnagar town is suffering from a water crisis and the majority of adjoining villages merged with the MCK are still yet to get the Municipal water supply, the water leakages are rampant in various parts of Karimnagar town. Several gallons of precious drinking water are being wasted due to the leakages and negligence of the MCK authorities.
This website has been reporting about the leakages being unchecked in the town for the last several months, but the MCK is lethargic in responding to check the wastage of precious water.
Freshly on Sunday, the followers of this website sent a pic and video of precious water being wasted due to the leakages at the busy Govt Gunj High School area in Karimnagar town.
Instead of launching a campaign against the wastage of water and taking action against those wasting this precious natural resource, the MCK itself is wasting water as it is not plugging the leakages.
The MCK, if it has really have any concern about saving natural resources, it would have launched a campaign to check leakages and wastage of water for a better tomorrow in the wake of El Nino.
