KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 20, 2026: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has performed Shami Puja at the famous Sri Maha Shakthi temple in Chaitanyanapuri colony in Karimnagar town on the occasion of the Dasara festival on Tuesday.
On this occasion, the Union Minister conveyed his greetings to all the Hindu brothers and sisters. “I prayed to Goddess Maha Shakti to remove the hardships of people across the country and bless them with prosperity”, he stated.
“Farmers facing difficulties due to a lack of rainfall should get relief from their problems. Unemployed youth struggling without jobs should receive hope and support. The interests of employees, teachers and workers must be protected. I prayed to the Goddess to give strength to everyone to build a strong society”, he maintained.
Stating that the number of people observing Bhavani Deeksha during Devi Navratri has increased significantly, he said that ‘it is a positive development that thousands of people, from young children to the elderly, are observing the Deeksha’. Thousands of devotees attended the Devi Navratri celebrations at Mahashakti Temple in Karimnagar, and the celebrations concluded successfully in a spiritual and devotional atmosphere, he added.
