The Temple – A Sacred Place to Awaken The Divine Energy Within…
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 15, 2026: As part of the fifth day of the ongoing Navarathri celebrations at the famous Sri Maha Shakthi temple in Chaitanyanapuri locality in Karimnagar town on Thursday, the presiding deity Goddess Durga is worshipped as Goddess Skanda Matha (Lalitha Tripura Sundari Devi) and is adorned with different varieties of fruits during temple alankarams (ritual decorations).
The fifth day of the Navarathri begins with the puja of Goddess Skanda Matha, the fifth avataar of Goddess Durga. Goddess Skanda Matha is known as the mother of Lord Skanda (Kartikeya) and represents pure maternal love, protective energy and spiritual strength.
To appease Goddess Skanda Matha, the temple priests and other artisans have decorated the Goddess with various varieties of fruits, especially bananas. Yellow coloured clothes are worn on the fifth day of Navarathri, as a dedication to Goddess Skanda Matha. Yellow colour stands for optimism and joy. This warm colour keeps the devotee cheerful all day.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who has taken up Bhavani Deeksha, participated in the special puja rituals at Sri Maha Shakthi temple in the morning. Mayor Kolagani Srinivas and others also participated in the special puja.

THE TEMPLE — A SACRED SPACE TO AWAKEN THE DIVINE ENERGY WITHIN..
Sit in Silence… Feel Her Presence… Awaken the Shakti Within You.
A temple is not merely a place of worship. It is a sacred space filled with divine vibrations and spiritual energy. Every temple deity embodies a unique divine power and represents a special spiritual truth. We must learn to recognise that energy, understand its significance, and approach the deity with reverence and devotion.
When we enter a temple, our purpose should not be limited to offering prayers, performing rituals, or asking for our desires to be fulfilled. We must also learn to experience the divine presence.
Sit before the deity. Close your eyes. Offer your respects with a peaceful heart. Set aside your worries, tensions, desires, and restless thoughts for a while. Allow yourself to become immersed in the divine atmosphere. Instead of merely asking the Goddess to change your circumstances, give yourself a moment to experience Her presence and awaken the divine energy within you.
Sit in silence. Spend some time with Maha Shakti. Let your mind become still, and allow your heart to experience Her grace.
Mahashakti — The Source of Iccha, Gnana and Kriya Shakti
Adi Parashakti is the embodiment of the three fundamental divine powers:
Iccha Shakti — The Power of Will and Divine Intention.
Gnana Shakti — The Power of Knowledge and Divine Wisdom.
Kriya Shakti — The Power of Action and Manifestation.
She is the divine will that inspires creation, the divine knowledge that guides it, and the divine action through which it unfolds.
The Divine Mother knows what we need, when we need it, and how we must grow through the experiences of our lives. What we desire may not always be what we need at that particular moment. Her grace may come through fulfilment, but it may also come through patience, understanding, strength, and transformation.
Therefore, instead of making noise or allowing our minds to wander even while standing before the deity, let us learn to sit quietly, offer our respects, pray with sincerity, and invoke the divine energy within ourselves.
The true beauty of devotion is not measured by how loudly we pray, but by how deeply we experience the Divine and how beautifully that experience transforms us.
When Mahashakti witnesses the transformation within us, when our thoughts become purer, our words become kinder, and our actions become more conscious, that transformation itself becomes an offering to Her.
Trikarana Shuddhi — The True Form of Prayer
The Divine Mother must be worshipped with Trikarana Shuddhi — purity and harmony in the three instruments of human expression:
Manasu — Mind: Let our thoughts be pure and our intentions sincere.
Vaakku — Speech: Let our words reflect truth, compassion, and respect.
Shariram — Body and Actions: Let our actions reflect the values we profess through our prayers.
When our mind, speech, and actions are aligned in sincerity, our entire being becomes an instrument of devotion.
It is not enough for our lips to chant the Goddess’s name while our minds are restless and our actions contradict our prayers. True worship begins when what we think, what we speak, and what we do become harmonious.
That is Trikarana Shuddhi.
That is devotion expressed through our entire being.
That is when prayer moves beyond words and becomes a way of life.
— A Moment with Mahashakti
The next time you visit a temple, do not be in a hurry to leave.
Spend a few moments with the Divine Mother.
Look at Her with devotion. Close your eyes. Let go of your worries for a while. Sit in silence and feel the sacredness of that moment.
Do not ask only for what you want. Ask for the wisdom to understand what you need, the strength to walk the path meant for you, and the purity to receive Her grace with gratitude.
Remember, the Divine Mother is not merely in the sanctum of the temple. The Shakti we worship there is also the divine potential that we must learn to recognise and awaken within ourselves.
Enter the temple with devotion. Sit before Her with reverence. Leave with greater peace, clearer thoughts, purer intentions, and a transformed heart.
For the ultimate purpose of worship is not merely to stand before the Divine, but to allow the Divine to transform the person we are.
When Iccha Shakti purifies our intentions, Gnana Shakti illuminates our understanding, and Kriya Shakti guides our actions, our lives themselves become an expression of Mahashakti.
Sit with Mahashakti. Awaken the Shakti within.
Om Shakti! Jai Mata Di!
