
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 09, 2026: Students of Achievers Active High School, Kothi Rampur, in Karimnagar town, celebrated Pre-Bathukamma and Dasara festivities with much pomp and gaiety on Friday.
The celebrations began with the lighting of a traditional lamp and offering prayers to God by Principal Ch. Pallavi. Students and teachers arranged various varieties of colourful flowers in a conical shape to form the Bathukamma and participated in traditional Bathukamma dances. Subsequently, the students highlighted the significance of the Bathukamma festival and Dasara through songs, speeches, and cultural programmes. The Kolatam and Dandiya performances by the female students were captivating.

Speaking on the occasion, School Principal Ch. Pallavi stated that Bathukamma celebrations are organised grandly every year to reflect the culture and traditions of Telangana. School Director Ch. Venkateswarlu also spoke, emphasising the immense importance of the Bathukamma festival in Telangana and describing it as a symbol of the region’s identity. A Ramayana skit and a puppet show performed by the students were highly impressive.
Following this, competitions in Bathukamma arrangement and Dandiya were conducted for the female students and their mothers.
