KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 09, 2026: Bathukamma, the festival of flowers, symbolising Telangana’s culture and traditions, was celebrated in a grand manner at Manair Educational Institutions in Karimnagar town on Friday.
Kadari Anantha Reddy, Chairman of Manair Educational Institutions, inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Bathukamma festival is a symbol of the affinity of Telangana girls, the love of nature and the glory of our culture.
The students participated enthusiastically in the celebrations. They brought beautiful Bathukammas by arranging different varieties of flowers in a conical shape, placed them at the centre and went around singing traditional Bathukamma songs. Cultural programmes, songs and dances were part of the celebrations. Teachers, parents, headmasters, teachers and students were present for the programme.
