
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 07, 2026: The swearing-in ceremony of the new office-bearers Indian Medical Association, Karimnagar chapter for the year 2026-was held at the IMA Hall in Karimnagar town on Wednesday night.
The valedictory of 2025-26 and installation ceremony of 2026-27 was conducted. IMA State President Dr. P. Kishan, Karimnagar Branch President Dr. Arun Katari, Honorary Secretary Dr. Challuri Vijay Kumar, Treasurer Dr. Audepu Manasa and other office bearers took the oath of office.
On this occasion, Dr Kishan said that to strengthen the IMA, the JDN (Junior Doctors Network) and MSN (Medical Students Network) should be further expanded. National IMA Action Committee Chairman Dr. E. Ravindra Reddy, who was the guest of honour, said that almost all the young people in the new executive should work with enthusiasm.
District Medical and Health Officer Dr. Rajagopal, another guest of honour, said that he would help private hospitals in solving their problems and advised that private medicine should be a continuation of government medicine but not a substitute.
President Dr. Arun Katari said that during his tenure, under the National IMA Programme ‘Aao Gaon Chale’, social health services and free multi-speciality health camps will be taken up in villages in a big way.
Secretary Dr. Challuri Vijay Kumar said that they have decided to organise social medical health awareness programmes. Treasurer Dr Adepu Manasa thanked the guests for their presence.
Former IMA State presidents Dr. Edavelli Vijayendra Reddy and Dr B. N. Rao, State IMA Secretary Dr Ashok and State Treasurer Dr. Dayal Singh were the special guests. Senior doctors Dr K Raghu Raman, Dr Vijay Mohan Reddy, Dr Bhagya Reddy, Dr Ch Lakshman Kumar, Dr Poladi Srinivasa Rao, Dr Suryanarayana Reddy, Dr MLN Reddy, Dr Jagan Mohan Rao, Dr Aleem, Dr Polasa Ram Kiran, Dr Vasanth Rao and others were present. Other doctors were also present.
IMA Karimnagar Chapter 2025-26 President Dr Akula Shailaja, General Secretary Dr Mahesh Babu, Treasurer Dr V Neelima, and others were also present.
