
MEDAK, OCTOBER 05, 2026: Set to be the first of its kind in the country, Telangana Governor Shiv Prathap Shukla will formally launch the plantation of more than 36,000 Cashew saplings along National Highway 765DG between Ramayampet and Siddipet on Tuesday (October 6, 2026).
The initiative was taken up by Medak MP Madhaveneni Raghunandhan Rao and aims to utilise the available land along the national highway, increase green cover and promote environmental sustainability.
This is stated to be the longest stretch of massive fruit-bearing plantation along the national highway in the country. The Governor would formally launch the plantation drive at Ramayampet on Tuesday afternoon at around 3.30 pm.
