KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 03, 2026: The Department of Commerce, Government Degree College for Women (Autonomous), Karimnagar, organised a vibrant Freshers’ Day celebration to warmly welcome the newly admitted students into the college community on Saturday.
The programme was graced by Afsari Osmani, In-charge Principal, who extended her best wishes to the freshers and encouraged them to make the best use of the academic opportunities and facilities available at the college.
Retired faculty member and writer Dasyam Senadipathi attended the programme as the Chief Guest, while Gunda Shankar was the Guest of Honour. They addressed the students and motivated them to pursue their studies with confidence, discipline and commitment.
G Srinivas, Controller of Examinations (COE), and M. Kalpana, IQAC Coordinator, were also present and conveyed their greetings to the newly joined students.

B Rajani Devi, In-charge, Department of Commerce*, welcomed the guests and students and highlighted the importance of academic excellence, communication skills, leadership qualities and active participation in college activities.
Commerce faculty members J. Swapna, S. Sudhama, R. Satheesh, K. Anoosha, M. Srujana, Ch. Ramya and T. Krishnaveni* participated in the celebrations and extended their warm wishes to the freshers.
The celebrations featured a cheerful and engaging atmosphere, with students enthusiastically participating in various activities. The programme provided an opportunity for the new students to interact with their seniors and faculty and marked the beginning of their journey in the Commerce Department.
The programme concluded with wishes for a successful, enriching and memorable college life for all the freshers.
