KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 01, 2026: With the onset of the Navarathri and Bathukamma celebrations during this month, Alphores e-techno school, Kothapalli, in Karimnagar, celebrated the ensuing festivities with a lively Dandiya event on Thursday night.
The event was dedicated to celebrating the strength and spirit of women. The festival symbolises the triumph of good over evil, honouring Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon Mahishasura. The colourful dandiya sticks represent the goddess’s sword in her battle against darkness.
Similarly, the students celebrated Telangana’s traditional and proud festival of Bathukamma to worship Goddess Durga. The students decorated the Bathukammas by stacking the flowers in a conical shape and played around them by singing traditional songs.
As the music began to play and as the momentum built and the circle set, the students and their teachers matched the rhythm with deft footwork. Soon they were lost to the brilliant beats of a heavy tradition.

The event commenced with an exhilarating garba dedicated to Goddess Durga. All the students and staff present joined the concentric circles, tapping to the spectacular music. The dandiya sticks in both hands clicked in unison as the skilled dancers twirled in sync with each other to make for a mind-blowing sight.
The strong bond between the teachers and students knit tightly as the circles became profuse with growing numbers as the evening progressed. Periodically, there were loud cheers for an encore!
Alphores Educational Institutions Chairman V Narender Reddy highlighted the significance of hosting such events in schools. He noted that these gatherings promoted cultural awareness among students and provided a platform for the community to come together.
