
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 01, 2026: On the eve of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the employees of Telangana Grameena Bank have participated in the Swatchatha hi seva programme by taking up plantation of saplings and cleanliness drive in Sapthagiri colony and shores of Lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar town on Thursday.
TGB regional manager Kathi Srinivas participated as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he said that “We have to work hard to keep our nation clean to fulfil the Clean India dream of Mahatma Gandhi.” The cleanliness drive is taken up as part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign, which seeks to strengthen shramdhan and encourage citizens to participate in cleanliness efforts, he added.
Stating that the TGB was playing a pivotal role in rural development, he said that the TGB had 59 branches in the Karimnagar region and was striving hard for the mobilisation of deposits and lending loans in a transparent manner.
Senior manager (operations) Kandula Subba Rao, senior manager (business) K Vamshi Krishna, Nodal officer G Mounika, Chief Managers Jalander Reddy and Ramana Reddy, managers Kondapalakala Venu Madhav and M Praveen Reddy, branch managers and others were also present.
