KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 30, 2026: The Telangana State Government plans to form a three-member Person-in-Charge (PIC) committee for the nine District Cooperative Central Banks (DCCBs) across the state to ensure their operations are conducted efficiently.
The orders to this effect were issued on Wednesday (September 30, 2026), which would continue for a period of six months or till elections are conducted or until further orders. The official PICs are appointed as per the powers invoking section 32 (7) (a) the Telangana Cooperative Societies (TCS).
The PIC members include: Respective District Collector as the chairman, Additional Collector (revenue) and District Cooperative Officer as its members. They would exercise all administrative and financial powers of the Managing Committee, and ensure statutory compliance of the DCCBs.
The PIC would approve pending audit final accounts, balance sheets and audit reports submission to RBI and NABARD. They would also approve delays in approving and releasing loans above Rs 10 lakhs to SHGs and agricultural borrowers.
